We’re so excited to introduce Kara Dykert as one of our speakers for the Elevate Women’s Event! Kara is a bonafide foodie, so it’s no surprise that her talk will relate hunger and longing, and all the beauty and messiness that happens in times of growth. We can’t wait to hear her speak in September!

Why’d you choose to get involved in the Elevate Women’s Event?

I love women – and love creating space for women to connect and to feel seen and known. Empowering women, creating space for their voices and room for the dreams is one of my biggest loves in life.

What was you biggest ah-ha moment as a woman?

My biggest ah-ha moment as a woman was realizing that I had a lot of self hatred. It was something I was blind to … or rather thought was normal. As though self loathing was actually an admirable thing. When I was 25 I had a massive revelation around self-hatred and self love and it shifted everything for me.

What do you wish you could tell your younger self?

It always works out. Always. Finances, dating, all of it. The things we spend the most anxiety on become such minimal things in passing, and when we choose hope and we choose love (starting with self) it always works out. If it’s not good, then it’s not finished.
